The Avery House was built in 1879 and is one of Fort Collins’ best surviving examples of Gothic-influenced Victorian architecture. The home belonged to Franklin and Sara Avery and remains a museum that offers visitors a rare glimpse into late 19th-century life through original furnishings, décor, and rich stories behind the family who called this place home.
With a single family living here for over 80 years, this historic house is a true pioneer-era time capsule and gives us a glimpse into early Victorian life on the Western Frontier in Fort Collins, Colorado.
